Due to growing success of the highly reliable new Iris wireless products, and the new customer base that follows it, Streamit has expanded. Mark will be added to the team to expand the portfolio of Iris “cable replacement” options focussing on digital inputs, brick amps and plate amps.

In a career spanning almost 30 years, Mark has gathered a wealth of experience in key sectors of the audio industry: Loudspeaker design and measurement, having worked for Speakerland and Bruel & Kjear Vibro, he is still an avid design in his own right. Education, having worked for Fontys university as a teacher for 8 years and as a board member of the Audio Engineering Society. Sound reinforcement and public address, having served as a product manager at Bosch communications systems with Plena and Dynacord.

“After drifting slightly into a region of the AV industry that focused on pure sales, quarterly results and little innovation, I wanted to get back into innovation and get closer to design. I found it in a midsized company that has a passion for its products in a motivated and diverse team.

They just launched a new product that finally does away with unreliable wireless connections and with a lot of potential. I will be helping them to create a complete portfolio from that spark.”

In the meantime, Streamit is company that celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, so they are by no means newcomers, and you probably have listened to their products in retail stores where they are a major player in in store audio distribution for retain chains and the like. The wireless solution that is unhindered by 2.4 MHz congestion like Bluetooth and Wi-Fi streaming is a new expansion direction.
