FLOYD’s 99

Floyd’s 99 Barbershops, a unique rock ‘n roll pub style hairdresser salon chain, was looking for a way to match their cool in-store appearance with a custom sound track and a way to deliver the audio to all their chain stores. Digital music service company Custom Channels was the right one for the task. They created a fully custom audio channel which is played out on location by Streamit internet radios.

THE CASE

Deliver the right kind of music

While music is a very important part of the overall experience and mood in a Floyd’s 99 barbershop they got a lot of complaints about it. They needed a music provider who could deliver the right kind of music suited tor the barbershops and the best delivery solution.

Custom Channels provided Floyd’s 99 with their own Fully Custom Audio Channel. Floyd’s is a hip and fun modem salon tor haircuts and hairstyling and now they have a custom soundtrack to match with their in-store atmosphere.

The Streamit SIR120 internet radio is responsible for correctly playing the custom audio channel in the Floyd 99 barbershops without any problems. Custom Channels was using another internet radio player before but decided to replace those with the Streamit Internet radio players as they are a lot more reliable and generale less support calls than with the old player.

The Streamit SIR120 receives the custom audio channel live through the internet connection while instantly playing out the music in the barbershop. Any necessary changes can be handled centrally. In the store no hands are required.
