Lisa plays it safe

There is an unmistakable trend for everything on the internet to go secure. The green browser address bar is quickly becoming the standard for any website. Businesses are tightening their security regime, including stores and retail chains. And they should, as they deal with sensitive business and customer information, like credit card data.

This means that in-store audio increasingly finds itself in a network environment that is highly secure. Firewalls are open only for standard secure ports and there are no exceptions to the rule. Streamit is the first to acknowledge and fully embrace this trend in in-store audio. Streamit’s Lisa players support secure HTTPS connections*, for all connections on all versions of the player, out of the box.

Using the default port 443 and true HTTPS encryption, the Lisa is at home in even the most secure network of your most demanding customer. This requires nothing special, not even special configuration. Just enter the URL with https:// in front.

This new feature underlines Streamit’s commitment to continually improve and deliver better solutions to our clients.
