Maven
The Maven is Streamit’s video-audio encoder. It brings video and audio streaming via internet within the reach of organizations like schools, companies, theaters, local governments, local broadcast stations, events, churches and so on. With the Maven it is very easy to have regular broadcasts of for example local activities, meetings or church services that are affordable and with good quality.
With the Maven, Streamit is offering an video-audio encoder that is affordable, reliable and easy to operate. The Maven is easy to configure via a graphical web-interface. With literally the press of a button the analogue audio- (RCA) and video signals (S-Video or Composite) are converted to a video stream (RTP or MPEG-TS) for transmission over internet. The method used (H264/AAC, MP2/MP3) guarantees high video and sound quality even with modest bandwidth.
The Maven is also able to broadcast an audio-only stream (MP3). This function is designed for people who have an audio-only receiver like a Lukas or a SIR. So it is possible to serve both viewers and listeners with just one device.
The Maven is part of Streamit’s complete solution which offers management, distribution, storage and playback of video and audio over internet. With help of Streamit’s EventCaster it is easy to make the video or audio stream available to viewers all over the world. The use of international standards makes it easy to link the Maven with other systems, like Wowza Media Server, and to use it for a range of other applications. Furthermore, it is possible to create a direct connection between the Maven and the David video-audio decoder without using EventCaster.
