Lukas Video
The Lukas-Video is a set-top box that can be used to stream video from the public internet, with a robust streaming protocol, easily integrated in a custom platform and still cost-effective.
The Lukas-Video plays live and on-demand video from the internet using Apple’s HTTP Live Streaming (H264/AAC). This widely adopted protocol is robust for streaming over the public internet, so that this set-top box can be used in a wide range of settings. Particularly applications in which a video stream needs to cross the boundaries of networks, this set-top box can be used.
The Lukas-Video is compatible with Wowza Media Server and has a well-documented API. It takes no more than a couple of webpages with simple Javascript to get your own application running on the set-top box. Furthermore, no network adjustments are needed. Deploying was never easier.
The HDMI and composite video connectors on the Lukas-Video make it compatible to all TV sets in the field. Customers using old-school CRTs as well as customers with high-end flatscreen TVs are served equally well. With the included remote control the user interaction is simple and comfortable.
The Lukas-Video is part of Streamit’s complete solution which offers management, distribution, storage and playback of video and audio over internet.
