Streamit radios for 7-Eleven06/25/2010 02:12 pm
Royal Streaming provides Streamit internet radios for 7-Eleven stores
Eindhoven, May 2010
7-Eleven, the premier name chain in the convenience retailing industry with nearly 200 stores and Shell/7-Eleven shop-in-shops in Sweden was aiming to improve the operation and potential of their in-store audio delivery solution. Royal Streaming delivered the solution using Streamit internet radios.
Up until now 7-Eleven was using ordinary radio as the music solution in their retail stores. They had a contract with one of Sweden’s largest radio stations and got some advertisements there if they played their channel in the stores.
To take advantage of the tremendous potential and freedom of in-store music 7-Eleven decided to switch to internet radio. Royal Streaming was chosen as the solution provider because of their excellent quality and most importantly for the complete package.
Royal Streaming provided 7-Eleven with their own radio stations which are live streamed. Added feature is the opportunity to run their own advertising on the radio stations to help increase revenue. The Streamit SIR120 internet radio is being installed at the moment in all 7-Eleven and Shell/7-Eleven stores. The Streamit SIR120 will receive the streaming radio station through the internet connection while playing the streamed music in the shops and providing the desired atmosphere. Every store will get their own radio station so customization is no problem.
Gustav Nordlindh from Royal Streaming says: “We offered 7-Eleven the best and most reliable solution, so we picked the SIR120 internet radio from Streamit. We work with different products and the SIR120 from Streamit is also the most profitable.”
