Streamit launches new SAS200 IP-audio Encoder/Transmitter with built-in recorder.

Eindhoven, December 2009

The SAS200 is a new member of the Streamit SAS series of IP Audio transmitters. The device is set apart because it comes with a built-in IP-audio recorder.

Many institutions want to stream their audio live to the Internet. There are quite a few software solutions available on the market but there is a growing demand for easy-to-use hardware encoders. The SAS200 addresses this requirement and more: it is easy to install and flexible to use at a very competitive price and it has a recorder as well. Besides streaming the audio to the Internet the SAS200 can simultaneously record the stream on a local SDHC card.

To maximize audio quality the SAS200 offers XLR inputs and encodes in Ogg Vorbis. This open source codec gives an excellent audio quality with low bandwidth consumption. A rack mount kit is available as well. Furthermore it offers a stereo headphone output.

The SAS200 is an ideal solution for clubs, schools, universities, local radio stations, conference centers and churches that want to be present on the Internet with a high quality audio stream but do not want to be confused by a complicated operation.

Of course the SAS series can be complemented with the Lukas and SIR receivers from Streamit.
